Welcome to New Mexico Quilters Association
Organized in 1974, NMQA is an educational organization whose main purpose is to stimulate a greater interest in quilting, in its membership and in the community at large, by providing information about quilting and by providing instruction and training to people who are interested in the art of quilting. The proceeds from our annual Balloon Quilt Raffle support NMQA programs.

Friendship and a warm welcome are the greatest motivations to attend NMQA meetings.
- Please wear your name tag.
- Go out of your way to speak to new members or guests or to someone new to you.
- Invite new members or guests to sit with you.
- Invite new members or guests to join your special interest group(s).
- Exchange phone numbers. Arrange car pools. Plan getting together to quilt.
Meetings
NMQA meetings are held in Albuquerque on the 4th Monday of the month (3rd Monday in Nov-Dec) at University of New Mexico Continuing Education building, 1634 University NE at Indian School.
Day meetings (Jan-Mar-May-Jul-Sep-Nov) start at 9:30 AM. Night meetings (Feb-Apr-Jun-Aug-Oct-Dec) start at 7:00 PM.
Meetings are open to the public; non-members will be charged a $5 fee for meetings with a guest speaker.
Workshops
Workshops are designed for everyone, regardless of quilting experience. Fee for members $45, non-members $65. Location: Albuquerque Hilton Garden Inn, 5320 San Antonio NE at I-25. Set-up begins at 8:30 AM, lecture starts at 9:00 AM.
